Abstract
The purpose of the thesis entitled LEGAL PROTECTION AGAINST WITNESS REPORTING CRIMINAL ACTION BY LPSK IN YOGYAKARTA to find out whether the form of legal protection provided by LPSK to reporting witnesses in narcotics crimes and to find out in proving protection to reporting witnesses whether there are obstacles when carrying out their duties and authority to provide protection, as regulated in Law No. 31 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law No. 13 of 2006 concerning the protection of witnesses and victims. Providing protection for the reporting witness must be considered more deeply so that the duties and authorities of the LPSK can run well and the reporting witness does not feel fear due to the threats given. Narcotics cases must be carried out properly so that law enforcement authorities must further eradicate and no longer people who abuse narcotics for their own interests to feel health.
