Abstract

The acts narcotic abuse can not be prevented because almost every age categories can easily obtain narcotics from persons that are not responsible on selling it. People can easily obtain narcotics from gangs, school area, discotics, and even prostitution place. This condition shows that every role of citizens are very much needed in the effort of eradication, especially the role of police as law enforcement officers as their functions and duties. This thesis then weite and analysis how the role of Yogyakarta’s police in coping the abuse of narcotics that are conducted by under age children. The research methode is performed with normative metode which is refered to library riset and focused on the positive law especially those that related to this research, and supported by interviewing people that are related to this research. From the dara analysis the conclusion was done by deductive methods and it can be concluded that the role of police is very influential especially in countermeasures and prosecutions of abuse of narcotics, the role of Yogyakarta area’s police in coping the abuse of narcotices that are conducted by under age children in Yogyakarta are done by some effort that are special inquiries and investigation. Thus, the author offer a suggestion regarding this matter for every layer of citizens.
