Abstract

In Indonesia, people living around the river often use the river as a sand mining location where these activities become livelihoods. This activity is carried out with the aim of increasing the community's economy, but it has a bad impact on the watershed. Mining activities that are often found in the Yogyakarta area are sand mining. This type of research in legal writing is empirical legal research. Empirical legal research is research that focuses on social facts related to supervision from the Environmental Agency on efforts to prevent environmental damage from the Sand and Stone Mining business of PT Citra Mataram Konstruksi (PT CMK) on the Progo River. The data obtained is primary data as the main data and is supported by secondary data.
