Abstract

Thesis with the title "Rehabilitation for Narcotics Addicts by the City National Narcotics Agency in Balikpapan City" has a background regarding the high level of narcotics addicts/abusers/victims in Indonesia, especially in Balikpapan, which aims to find out what obstacles are faced by BNNK Balikpapan in rehabilitating narcotics addicts. Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants or non�plants, both synthetic and semi-synthetic, which can cause a decrease or change in consciousness, loss of feeling, reduce to eliminate pain, and can lead to dependence. This is the duty and function of the BNN to prevent and eradicate and provide education to the public about the dangers of consuming narcotics. The legal research used is empirical legal research, namely research that uses empirical facts taken from the results of interviews and direct observations related to rehabilitation for narcotics addicts. The results of the study show that the obstacles in rehabilitation are inadequate service facilitation standards, limited human resources, and factors that rehabilitation clients do not comply with the schedule that has been determined between the client and the counselor.
