Abstract
In this research entitled The Role of Land Deed Officials in the Transfer of Land Ownership Rights Due to Sale and Purchase in Ambon City, it aims to find out the role of land deed officials in the transfer of rights due to sale and purchase and also help provide knowledge to the community in Ambon City. The research method in this legal writing with the type of empirical legal research using a descriptive qualitative analysis method. The result of this legal writing research is that the implementation of the role of PPAT in the transfer of land rights due to sale and purchase in Ambon City is in accordance with the provisions in Government Regulation Number 37 of 1998 concerning the Regulation of the Position of Land Deed Official Government Regulation Number 37 of 1998 Jo Government Regulation Number 24 of 2016, namely carrying out land registration activities by making deeds as a means of proving that certain legal acts have been carried out regarding land rights or ownership rights to apartment units which will be used as the basis for registering changes in land registration data caused by legal acts. Not only making authentic deeds, PPAT also helps assist the land office by checking the completeness of the documents that are a requirement for making a deed of sale and purchase. In making payments of Fees on Acquisition of Land and Building Rights (BPHTB) and Income Tax (PPh) regarding the calculation, procedures and payment processes in a transfer of land rights will not be separated from the assistance of PPAT.
