Abstract

There are many roles which are done by press of a certain country in actualize democracy. In order that press is able to do the role especially in sustain democratization so it is needed press liberty in doing the duty and the function professionally. This case is proved with the existence of law protection about press humanity in news searching. However, the fact shows the enthusiasm of the press existing liberty become over effusive. As though, journalist must be freed from any threats which restrict their scope. The press liberty whereas is not an aim but rather as a medium to reach certain objective. The weakness of law which assure individual privacy cause orientation of press struggling tend to be without reason through press liberty which is given. In news searching, sometimes press gets to disrespect individual privacy and seems insist. Like following someone everywhere they go, use hidden camera to keep on scout, take record and picture without well mannered. The aim of this research is to understanding about press liberty as the aim from form resuscitation for press in order that press in news searching and serving information can care the boundaries of the press existing liberty, so can perform implementation of good press liberty which related with individual privacy. The research method which is used is normative method which is focused to the existing norm
