Abstract

Implementation of Green Industry is very necessary for every industrial company because the production process by an industrial company has a major influence on the preservation of environmental functions and can cause depletion of natural resources which results in damage and environmental pollution. Viewed from Law Number 3 of 2014 concerning Industry is closely related to the activities of industrial companies. PT Wijaya Cahaya Timber Malang as one of the companies engaged in the plywood industry can apply elements of the green industry. This study aims to find out the legal implementation of the green industry at the Plywood Factory in Malang has implemented the implementation of the green industry as an effort to prevent pollution and to find out the obstacles and solutions in the implementation of the green industry at the plywood factory in Malang. Through the research approach, namely empirical legal research, a conclusion can be found that PT Wijaya Cahaya Timber Malang has met the green industry standards and implemented the preservation of environmental functions but has not yet certified the green industry especially with the constraints of less than optimal Human Resources, Company Management and inadequate costs to implement the Green Industry. The solution provided by PT Wijaya Cahaya Timber is to do greening and quickly carry out green industry certification so that it can comply with Law Number 3 of 2014 concerning Industry.
