Abstract

The title of this research is Legal Aspects Of Pollution Prevention Through Waste Bank In Klaten City (Biennale Waste Bank Case Study). The "Biennale" waste bank is a waste bank formed by the community and supported by the Klaten City Regional Government. The waste bank has customers, both members of the waste bank and some residents of Klaten City. The waste deposited by the community has been sorted first, cleaned, then weighed and given a price according to the price/kilogram. This can be researched empirically using a regulatory approach and the implementation of Waste Banks in Indonesia. This type of research is empirical legal research. Empirical research is research that focuses on legal norms and phenomena that occur. The conclusion of this writing is that pollution prevention has been carried out quite well by the Biennale Waste Bank in Klaten City. The implementation of waste management by the Biennale Waste Bank is carried out by applying the principles of reduce and reuse, while the principle of recycling has not been implemented. The Biennale Waste Bank in implementing waste management as an effort to prevent pollution still faces obstacles in the form of a lack of public understanding in sorting waste, thus increasing the work of the Waste Bank, as well as limited operational costs for the waste bank due to the absence of active assistance from the local Environmental Service.
