Abstract

Child neglect is still common in society. People who know about child neglect sometimes remain silent and are not responsive to help or report it to the authorities, because there are still many people who think that this is their own household matter and do not want to get involved. This research was conducted empirically. This research focuses on criminal liability if the parent (biological father) is not responsible for the child. Many perpetrators are free from the threat of prison due to a lack of valid evidence and it is hoped that in the future there will be stricter laws regarding child neglect. The conclusion is that there are many conditions that must be met and the complexity of proving that this is indeed his biological child.
