Abstract

Klaten is Shining City, which means clean, healty, beautiful, comfortable, safe and neat. However, in fact there are still criminal acts in it so it cannot be saod to be fully shining. One of crimes in Klaten is narcotic crimes among children. Narcotics crimes still occur among children in Klaten even though the police have made several countermeasures. The use of narcotics is certainly dangerous for the physical and mental safety of children. The effects of using narcotics not only dependence on users, but also can lead to death in children. Therefore, the formulation in this paper is why do among children still occur, even though the police have made efforts to prevent them? The causes of narcotics use among children are low awareness of faith, high curiosity, unhealthy social environment, lack of family education, influence of the development of social media and lack of public awareness of the dangers of narcotics.
