Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing and controlling the rioting inmates, whether already in accordance with the purpose of the correctional institution. Data were collected through literature studies and interviews with parties that are directly related to the writing of this law as an officer of the correctional institution, and inmates who already suspected. Data analysis performed by the cutting process by using deductive reasoning. Based on data analysis has been done, it can be concluded that the cause of rioting prisoners, psychological factors, staff indiscipline, human error, inadequate facilities, over-capacity, lack of coordination, lack of personnel and less strict discipline. Violence prevention by non-penal; debriefing officer Correctional Institution in order to prevent riots, and with coaching and mentoring inmates, and how penal; ordinance enforcement and inmate riots case.
