Abstract

The change in tourism trends from mass tourism to alternative tourism has an impact on the development of the tourist village trend. In Magelang Regency, many tourist villages can be found, one of which is Candirejo Tourism Village. Based on the Regional Regulation of Central Java Province No. 2 of 2019 concerning the Empowerment of Tourism Villages, it can be seen related to the roles, duties, obligations, and authority of the village government in the formation and management of tourism villages. One of the tasks of the village government in managing tourism villages is to develop and strengthen tourism village institutions such as Pokdarwis and BUMDES. Two institutions that both manage tourist villages but have different operational and technical guidelines. This research uses juridical normative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the Candirejo Magelang village government seeks to form a collaboration between Pokdarwis and BUMDES through an agreement made from a policy compromise. In Candirejo Magelang Tourism Village, Pokdarwis will act as a motivator, activator, and communicator in an effort to increase the readiness and awareness of the community towards tourism, while BUMDES acts as a legal entity and management institution of the tourism village.
