Abstract

In Sleman Regency, one type of gambling that is still often found today is lottery gambling, lottery gambling is gambling by guessing numbers. The frequent gambling of this lottery is certainly troubling for local residents. For this reason, efforts are needed from the police to make efforts to overcome lottery gambling crimes. This research uses empirical methods. The results showed that the efforts of the Selman Police in tackling lottery gambling crimes were through non-penal approach efforts, namely early detection of social symptoms, counseling and coaching to school children and students at various universities in the jurisdiction of the Sleman Police Station, patrolling vulnerable places, collaborating with educational institutions, namely schools and universities. Then the penal approach is investigation, investigation.
