Abstract
In this day and age there are many business actors who use advertising as a means to promote the cosmetic products they trade, but because of the very tight competition, advertisements are often misused by business actors, causing losses to consumers. To monitor misleading advertisements, regulations were made, namely the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency Regulation Number 32 of 2021 concerning the supervision of Cosmetic Advertising. The purpose of this regulation is to monitor cosmetics advertising in Indonesia and as an effort to reduce cases of misleading advertisements, so that in the future consumers can be more careful in choosing the cosmetic products they need. In addition, Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 31 of 2023 concerning Business Licensing, Advertising, Coaching, and Supervision of Trade Business Actors Through Electronic Systems is used as a guideline for supervising advertising through electronic media.
