Abstract

The amount of waste that has piled up in the tourist area of Pancer Door Beach, Pacitan Regency, can affects the environmental quality. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of acknowledging the implementation of the Regional Government and the community in reducing waste in the coastal area and to finding out the inhibiting factors and solutions that can be made in the future. This research was conducted with empirical legal research, namely research on social facts. By using data sources from sources, as primary data, and primary and secondary legal materials which will become secondary data, it can be collected by means of interviews and literature studies. While the results of this study indicate that efforts to reduce waste have actually been carried out but have not been optimal, because there has been no socialization about waste reduction in coastal areas. Waste reduction also has obstacles, namely the lack of public awareness and inadequate facilities.
