Abstract

Overcoming sexual violence in higher education is an important issue. Since the enactment of Permendikbudristek Number 30 of 2021, universities have formed a “Task Force for Preventing and Handling Sexual Violence” (Satgas PPKS) as the main effort in preventing and handling cases of sexual violence in the campus environment. The implementation of this policy is in line with Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence, which emphasizes the importance of providing complaint services, health assistance, social rehabilitation, law enforcement and victim recovery. This research analyzes the effectiveness of the steps taken by universities, including providing legal and medical assistance, assisting victims, and enforcing sanctions against perpetrators. The results show that although various efforts have been carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, there is still a need to increase the capacity of “Satgas PPKS”, collaboration with external parties, ongoing education programs, and the development of a safe and confidential reporting system. Additionally, long-term support for victims needs to be strengthened to ensure optimal recovery.
