Abstract

Pollution prevention is an instrument for controlling pollution and/or environmental damage. This study aims to identify efforts to prevent river water pollution caused by motorcycle workshop activities in the Code River buffer zone. The research method used is empirical legal research, focusing on social facts obtained through interviews with respondents and resource persons. Water pollution prevention is regulated under Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 on the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management. Although motorcycle workshop owners have made efforts to prevent water pollution, these measures remain suboptimal due to the lack of business permits.
