Abstract

v ABSTRACT Reservoirs have an important role in the management of water resources, such as the provision of raw water, fisheries, agriculture, and electric power. This study uses empirical legal methods to examine the legal protection of the Mungkur Elephant Reservoir from pollution due to fish farming in Wonogiri Regency. Currently, there are no specific regulations governing the protection of the reservoir, although there are general regulations related to reservoirs, the environment, and fisheries. Therefore, more specific regulations are needed regarding the protection of fish farmers and fisheries management in the Mungkur Elephant Reservoir. The Wonogiri Regency Government is advised to increase the socialization of environmentally friendly fish farming methods and strengthen supervision to prevent overall pollution of the reservoir from various aspects.
