Abstract

Basically every street child has the right to get protection of their rights as child. Irrespectively that street child being perpetrators of crimes and sentenced to punishment due to his actions, their rights as children must remain fulfilled and protected as set by Law. The type of this research is normative research, is research that reviewing the legal norms in force. Normative legal research reviewing the sources of which are the legal literature related to the implementation of children's rights in the punishment of the crime of street children. Data collection was conducted through a literature study the legislation, and interviewed judges and prisoners related to the fulfillment of the rights of street children while undergoing punishment. The results showed that the protection of the rights of street children when undergoing his punishment has not all been met, as set out in the legislation. Because there are still some of those rights have not they get as they should. However, parties who Related to that like the Rutan always tried to keep their rights to full and protected in accordance with law.
