Abstract
The writing of law entitled ”The Law Protection towards Consumer on the Food Using the Textile Dye in Sleman Regency, Special District of Yogyakarta” aims to study how the role of BBPOM in handling the actions of food entrepreneur who use the textile dye, and to identify the responsibility form of the entrepreneurs. This writing of law uses the empirical research method which is using the primary data as the main data. Besides doing book study, the interviews to entrepreneurs are also conducted, such as, BBPOM, the Department of Health, and Yogyakarta Consumer Institution. The result of the research proves that : First, the roles of BBPOM are conducting supervision on production means as the way of completing the good food production ways requirements (the use of productions means, the used materials in making food, sanitation) and also conducting supervision on food distribution means as the way of completing the good food production ways (storage, package, distribution). Secondly, the form of entrepreneurs’ responsibilities towards the use of textile dye on the food produced are asking for apology, compensation or by the law line in which the entrepreneurs are adjudicated based on effective regulations.
