Abstract
The title of this research is the implementation of the oversight function by West Kutai district secretariat towards the use of the official cars of regional civil servants under Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Barat Nomor 05 Tahun 2012 Tentang Pengelolaan Barang Milik Daerah. The background of the research is the uncompleted rules about how to control of civil servants’ official car utilization. The problems of this research are to determine the control form by the Secretariat of West Kutai regency and the obstacles that faced in the control of the use of official cars civil servants. This research is an empirical legal research using primary data as the primary data and secondary data as supporting data. Respondents in this research consisted of 10 civil servants West Kutai regency, East Kalimantan, which uses the official car and was taken as a sample using random sampling methods. In addition, interviews were conducted with several speakers. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of oversight functions by the West Kutai District Secretariat on the use of official cars of regional civil servants under Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Barat Nomor 05 Tahun 2012 Tentang Pengelolaan Barang Milik Daerah implemented fully by the Equipment Section and Secretariat of the Regional Asset District and the West Kutai form of control is done is direct control.
