Abstract

Police act that doesnt ticketing AbdiDalem, Kraton soldier, the hindus who will pray to the temple, the ladies with bun, the convoy mourner, and the muslim who will pray that do not wear a helmet while driving a motorcycle is police discretion in traffic. This thing raised a question, Whether that was the police consideration in providing discretion enforcements the traffic act and public transportation to the motorcyclists were not wearing helmets in Yogyakarta?.The kind of research done in this research is normative research. From the research obtained data that police consider on of culture, religion(in terms of preparation running worship a religion), and the public interest in giving police discretion on traffic aspect.
