Abstract
The research employed two methods as one of the assisting tools in taking decisions in order to decide the provision of scholarship program for the students of the Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang. Widya Mandira Catholic University (Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira or UNWIRA) Kupang is one of the private universities that provides scholarship program for the students with high achievements and the students who come from low economic background. The provision of the scholarship program grant in UNWIRA still has several problems in the process of decision making because the evaluation process is not alwayas based on the accurate calculation; in addition, the scholarship grant usually misses the target. As a result, there is a need to build a supporting application system in order to improve the process of decision-making. The process of decision making for the scholarship grant will implement the methods of Theorema Bays and Dempster-Shafer. The calculation of the two method will be compared in order to find the best results that will be used as a matter of consideration for the scholarship grant. The results of the method implementation will help and ease the process of decision making in order that the scholarship grant will be selective and appropriate.
