Abstract

Prosecution office was a state institution that was authorized to enforce law and justice for Indonesian people. To know its authority, law research or this essay was aimed to know the role of prosecution office in eradicating money laundering criminal acts from corruption results. This law writing was conducted by a normative law research based on a primary law material namely legislation, secondary law material by using books, magazines, newspapers, websites and interviews related to objects observed and also obtained from a tertiary law material namely law material that delivered clues and also explanation of primary and secondary law materials included Law Dictionary, Indonesian Language Grand Dictionary. From the research conducted, the writer obtained data i.e. prosecution office roles in eradicating money laundering criminal acts namely first stage was the prosecutor sentenced cumulatively, then the prosecutor charged (requisitor) on money laundering criminal act cases and if in the judges’ verdict was not suitable with prosecutor charge, so that the prosecutor appealed. Along with the law efforts so the prosecutor had eradicated money laundering criminal act.
