Abstract

Weak position of women and patriarchal cultural factors lead women in a society prone to become victims of crime immoral. One type of immoral crime that often occurs in women is rape. Rape does not only result in long-term suffering for the victims but also their human rights violated. The purpose of writing this law is to determine and analyze why rape victims need to obtain any form of protection and safeguards that can be given to victims of rape. This research is a normative legal research, this research using secondary data as the main data and primary data as supporting data. The results of this research are: (1) The victim suffered multiple rape include physical, psychological, and social, and therefore victims of rape victims in need of protection so that in spite of all his suffering. (2) The protective measures that can be given to victims of rape is a form of protection provided by the Act No. 13 of 2006 in the form of restitution and medical and psycho-social assistance.
