Abstract

In today's conditions, ie poor paradigm of the state police and the police, led to a desire to review the existing professional ethics in policing. How does the efficiency and effectiveness of professional ethics, and professionalism how influence on its performance. So that we are able to determine whether there professional ethics is so good at giving limits the rights and obligations of the police in carrying out their duties, and that there is a bad paradigm immediately to be addressed properly in accordance with the corridor. Through this study, evaluated from various aspects, ranging from police knowledge about professional ethics, implementation, constraints, benefits, and also in support of the professional performance leads us to the conclusion that professional ethics and have contributed a great influence on the performance of the police. Based on the above conclusions, the authors provide suggestions as follows: a. The introduction and dissemination neighbor what and how a police professional ethics to all members of the police, especially for new members. So with a good understanding of it is expected to carry out duties in accordance with the existing professional ethics b. A review of the content or the content of professional ethics of the police, where the police are given the state apparatus associated langsng with people out there. We ketahaui that the condition of the people in the present era is very dynamic, so that the police and the police should be able to make revisions in accordance with the conditions of professional ethics of times and the needs that exist in society. c. With the professional ethics that affect the performance of police professionalism, hopefully, through the implementation of a true professional ethics, the police and the police were able to restore the good image of the police and the police, now available with a skewed perception of police performance with a new better and able to be trusted by the people of Indonesia
