Abstract

Indonesian National Police have limitations, both in terms of availability of personnel, equipment and operational budgets. Lately violent crimes by using increasingly widespread. The perpetrators are not only using sharp weapons, but also many who use firearms, firearms both organic and homemade firearms. In addition to these, there are among the criminals who use guns airsoft gun type commonly used for sports games. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the Indonesian National Police efforts in minimizing crime by abusing the airsoft gun and to identify and analyze the constraints faced by the Indonesian National Police in minimizing crime by abusing the airsoft gun. Type of research is a normative legal research library research, namely research on secondary data. The research location is in Yogyakarta Police. The data obtained in the research literature and interviews were processed and analyzed qualitative data analysis based on the normative mean what is obtained from the literature and interviews, and then directed, discussed and given an explanation with applicable regulations, and finally concluded with the inductive method, which was to draw conclusions from the the particular to the general. Preventive efforts Indonesian National Police in minimizing crime by abusing the airsoft gun is done by the control and supervision of the airsoft gun, the efforts undertaken repressive Indonesian National Police in minimizing abuse airsoft gun crime adalan to perform raids. Constraints faced by the Indonesian National Police in minimizing crime by abusing airsoft gun including hard to lurk and reveal syndicate trafficking and illegal possession of airsoft gun, the public is increasingly easy to access or acquire an airsoft gun, limited personnel supervision and control of firearms.
