Abstract

Indonesian Nation Police, hereinafter abbreviated as national police a state that plays a role n maintaining security and public order, enforce laws and public order, enforce laws and to provide protection shelter and services to the community in the context of maintaining internal security. Indonesian National Police have a role in maintaining security and public order, enforce laws and to provide protection, shelter, and service to community and public transquility to up hold human rights one of the police role is to bring order to manifest the public transquility is one of the public discipline of cohabiting based on the description the authors are interested in doing research with the police in tackling the title role in district Sleman cohabiting province of Yogyakarta Special Region. Objectives to be achieved in this paper is determine the role of police in tackling Sleman cohabiting in the district of Yogyakarta province and to know that the act is a violation cohabiting or not. Research method used is for this type of research using normative legal research because the use of normative legal research because the use of normative legal research requiring secondary, data secondary consists of primary legal materials. Legal materials secondary and tertiary legal material an then perform the analysis. Research results in this paper is that the role of police in tackling cohabiting that leads to adultery after a report of a wife or husband whose spouse committed adultery with another man and this is a crime. The role of police in tackling cohabiting in society as found in the boarding house, rented, and the flats are usually assisted by a police force for violating civil service rules Sleman district number 9 year 2007 on accommodation and this is a violation of decency.
