Abstract

The decision of bidding is very complex decision that influenced by a number/each factors. Identify each factors is very important to learn how to make a decision for tendering. Present Research was collecting each factors from previous research and based on that factors. The opinion of bidding is determined more deepend to become the process of bidding decision. This research focused at each influenced from factors that determined four purposed opinion: competition. Level of risk, work requirement, and the position of company at bidding. The difference contribution at each purposed of opnion is refered back in two kind of construction methods, that are unit price contract and fixed lump sum contract. This research had purpose to identified the dominant factors that influenced the contractors decision for followed bidding/tender, developed a group of factors that influenced in decision making bidding, to win the bidding process, and to compared list of factors that influenced the contractors decision for bidding/tender between unit price contract and fixed lump sum contract. A questioner survey was done and gathered 43 respondents in Province of DIY. From that survey, a group of key factor and the importance of relationship had identified., with each respondent from : contractor class B (34,9%) and M2 (37,2%), used type of unit price contract (67,4%), had position in contractor company as site manager (51.2%), had working experience from 5-<10 years (44.2%), had background of education S-1 (72.1%) and responden age less than 30-40 year (44.2%). From result of key factors that influenced the contractors decision for bidding/tender is analyzed by mean. Most influenced factors are adequate cash flow requirement factor, had ability to coordinate and manage, existence of good finance ability and type of project. It had a series mean value as 4.7209 ; 4.6512 ; 4.6047 ; 4.5814. While overall of variable key factors question can be developed become a group of new factor as much 19 factors using analysis factor. And about a series of factors that influenced the contractors decision for bidding/ tender between unit price contract and fixed lump sum contract are analyzed by spearman correlation method. The result from this research is that there was no different series of factors that influenced the contractors decision for bidding/ tender between unit price contract and fixed lump sum contract or there was no relationship between unit price contract and fixed lump sum contract.
