Abstract

Refugee must be protected by anything necessary. There are instruments in this world created to protect the refugee such as International Organisations and Internasional Conventions. By these kind of instruments, the refugee can savely asking for asylum to any country in the world. The problem is, there are still many countries that not willing to accept the refugee. Many of the refugees got them self stranded and got separated from their family because of the closing of the countries border. That kind of things just won’t stop the refugees to cross the border, even if they had to face the border’s security. So what is the reason of those countries whose closed their border for rejecting the refugees? In The 1951 Refugee Convention, there is a “non-refoulment” principle which prohibit any countries to do any “refouler” things to the refugee. The reason for those countries to reject the refugees was related to their countries security. They afraid that the Bom Tragedy by the middle east people will after them either if they gave the permission to the refugees for entering their country. They are willing to protect their own people from anything that could put their life in danger
