Abstract
In armed conflict situation, medical personnel shall be respected and protected in any circumstances. Even though International humanitarian law had very clearly regulated about this, in reality there are still many violation to that regulation. Just recently a Palestine nurse Razan al-Najjar has been shot by Israel defensive forces when carrying out its duties to help casualties during protest campaing in Gaza. With so many violations that occur, this situation create a problem how effectiveness the legal protection of the medical personel during armed conflict situation. The Method of this legal research is normative legal research and the method to analyzing the data is qualitative ,which is this legal research are collected through literature study and interview with the related parties. This legal research concluded that regulation about protection of medical personnel in armed conflict situation were ineffective, the proof is even though the law already exist but there are still many violation and there is now law enforcement , including this Razan al-Najjar case.
