Abstract

This thesis is conducted to answer the problems arise, namely, how is the implication of Israel's action related to the transfer of the capital city of Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and how is the implication of United States’ action related to the transfer of the United States embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This thesis which compiled by using normative legal research method is used primary data which consisted positive legal norms and secondary data which consisted literatures, legal facts, and documents. After the data collected has analyzed, it concluded by two answers. First of All, Israel’s action which transfer of the capital city is infringed the international law because status of Jerusalem is still status quo. On the other hand, United States’ action which transfered their embassy regarded as action which aggravated the situation. Furthermore, as a permanent member of United Nations Security Council, United States should give action which reflect as an attempt to maintain peace and security in the world, such as one of United Nations’ purposes.
