Abstract

Tegal a city located on the north island of Java and the much visited by tourists, so the need for typical souvenirs Tegal city will certainly be very large. Based on early identification of this city has great potential in crafting metal industry, but has not really developed. This study aims to explore the potential of the metal craft industry in an effort to support the tourism program in order to get a souvenir Tegal metal distinctively local. To obtain product attribute souvenir distinctively Tegal city brainstroming method is used, the matrix Zero-One, and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Meanwhile, to obtain the 3D shape modeling distinctively local souvenirs then needed the help of software ArtCAM and a machine Rolland Modella 40R. The results were obtained sequence of the attributes required in the design of Symbolic Shorthand Tegal Typical souvenirs are included: design showing typical Tegal; a lasting souvenir material, durable, not easily broken; dimension proportional souvenirs; packaging that can protect the product from rain, collision and continue to improve aesthetics. While the sequence of technical criteria to consider are: production costs; detail reliefs souvenirs; dimensional souvenirs, souvenir materials, packaging design and packaging material thickness.
