Abstract

The church is indispensable for religious people to exercise their worship to the one true God. Religious people who do not have a church will certainly try to establish a church according to procedures from the local government so that the house of worship can be established. But in an effort to achieve it there are a variety of legal problems, such as lack of administrative and technical requirements as stipulated by the Government and lack of support from local communities. This research uses empirical research laws. The data is derived from several interviews with respondents and data sources. The discovery of this data was when the government could not stand alone to solve the permission to construct the building of the church. There must be synergy between the government, the applicant, and also the local community. The conclusion of this research is the process of application of building permits is very easy to obtain but undeniable there are other problems that lead to the process of issuing a permit to construct buildings and there are also communities that still lack a sense of tolerance to inter-religious people. The author's suggestion is the importance of the Government to do repeated checks in order to avoid revocation of permission to construct buildings that have been issued and need a tolerance attitude of fellow believers so that each religious people can run their worship with wisdom.
