Abstract

The effect of Perda (Local Governmental Regulation) No.2 1999 About the Layout Design of Territory on the issuance of Building Establishment License in Regency Karanganyar the Author chose as the title of this Law Writing Report. This report was arranged as a scientific article in law area that is obligatory to be written by students based on the research as a final assignment to achieve sarjana (Stratum 1) degree of Law in Yogyakarta Atmajaya University. The aim of research is to find out whether the issue of Building Establishment License (IMB) in Regency Karanganyar has been or not consistent with the Regency Karanganyar's Perda No.2 1999 About the Layout Design of Territory. The types of data used were: primary data derived from the related informant and secondary one derived from literature. Techniques of collecting data employed were observation and literary study. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative technique From the result of research, it can be concluded that the issue of 1MB in Regency Karanganyar has been consistent with the prevailing provision, i.e. Local Governmental Regulation No.2 1999 About the Layout Design of Territory. The local government, especially DPU's Cipta Karya Agency of Regency Karanganyar had implemented the IMB issuance procedure well, consistent with the prevailing rule. The Society's level of understanding on law regulating 1 MIB is still minimal, especially in rural area. Therefore, there should be any attempt, from the Local Government, of improving the understanding of and compliance with the rule of law on 1MB.
