Abstract

Construction is an activity to build facilities and infrastructure. Although construction activities are known as one job, but in reality construction is a unit of activity consisting of several other different jobs. For the successful implementation of a construction project, effective planning is essential. problems can arise if there is a mismatch between the plans that have been made and their implementation. So that the impact that often occurs is the delay in the implementation of the project, which can also be accompanied by an increase in the cost of implementing the project. Ngada is one part of the regency in Indonesia which is currently carrying out many construction projects, In the implementation of this construction project, there are things that are always a concern, namely the inaccuracy of project completion time according to the contract value. there needs to be an effort to find out the main causes of the delays in the construction project itself, in order to find a solution to minimize the delay in the implementation of construction projects in Ngada Regency. This research was conducted to determine what factors influence the delay in the implementation of a building construction project in Ngada Regency and whether there is harmony among respondents. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Respondents gave an assessment of the factors of delay. The final result of the data analysis is in the form of thevalue mean of the delay factors contained in the questionnaires that have been distributed. There are 8 factors of delay including, Material, Labors, Equipment, Financial, Environment, Site Characteristic, Contract Agreement, Managerial and Scheduling. From the existing data, it is managed using the SPSS 16.0 program, then the Mean value is obtained. From the mean value obtained, then sorted according to the largest to the smallest mean value, where the largest mean value is the most influencing factor, namely managerial and time factors. Then from processing using SPSS 16.0, the Kendall W value and the Asymptotic Significance value are also obtained, which indicate harmony between respondents in Ngada Regency.
