Abstract

A land registration can provide a certificate of valid proof of rights that can be used as a powerful tool of proof. In this case, a valid certificate is a land certificate, which with the presence of certificates can then be used in the event of a land conflict. In this study, the landowner has a land border dispute where the land office provides a settlement by conducting a re-measurement on the land that has an land boundary dispute. The type of research used is empirical law research. Empirical law writing is a method of legal research that looks at the law directly and examines how people implement the law in the middle of their lives. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the landowner whose land rights are reassessed has obtained legal certainty. As a result of this study, there were two respondents who had not yet obtained a certificate. A certificate is a powerful proof that can prove a person's ownership and avoid a dispute. With the certificate can satisfy the legal certainty of the land rights holders. Therefore, with the presence of a certificate when there is a dispute can be submitted at the Office of the National Agriculture Agency.
