Abstract

The humanitarian crisis in Syria since 2011 has created a wave of refugees flowing out of the country, with millions seeking refuge in neighboring nations. In this context, Turkey has played a significant role as the largest host of Syrian refugees. This research aims to investigate Turkey's efforts in hosting and managing Syrian refugees during the period of 2011-2016. The research method used is descriptive analysis based on secondary data from academic sources, news reports, and official documents. Findings indicate that Turkey has been committed to providing protection, shelter, and access to basic services for Syrian refugees, despite facing significant challenges in managing the social, economic, and political impacts of the large refugee population. Factors such as international support, domestic policies, and changes in regional dynamics play a key role in shaping Turkey's response to the Syrian refugee crisis. This research provides better insights into Turkey's role in addressing the Syrian refugee crisis and its implications for international and humanitarian policies.
