Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role and efforts of law enforcement regarding illegal parking practices in Sleman Regency and identify the obstacles faced in this process. The research method used is normative legal research, which focuses on the analysis of statutory regulations and their application. The discussion in this research includes the role of the Sleman Regency. Transportation Service in managing the parking system, as well as the contribution of the Sleman Regency and DIY SatPol PP in enforcing the law against perpetrators of illegal parking practices. The research results show that despite the efforts of the two agencies, there are still various obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of law enforcement, including limited human resources, lack of coordination between agencies, and low public legal awareness. This research suggests the need for increased cooperation between related institutions, more intensive legal education to the community, as well as additional adequate resources to overcome these obstacles.
