Abstract

This research aims at identifying factors that influence on craftsmen's productivity in construction project in DIY especially characteristics of craftsmen. The research also analyzed craftsmen's perception to importance of factors that influence on craftsmen's productivity and test of differences between characteristics of craftsmen craftsmen's productivity. The study use instrument that adopted (with modification) from some questionnaire used in the past research on context of craftsmen productivity. Data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, Kendal's test, and Analysis of variance (Anova). The research successfully obtained 75 respondents (20 carpentry, 33 masonry and 22 barbender). The result of descriptive analysis shows : (1) the majority of craftsmen's age between 20 up to 40 years old are 74.6, (2) the majority craftsmen has married are 84%, (3) the majority of'craftsmen's education was up to elementary school are 74.7%, (4) the majority of craftsmen comes from out of Kodya Yogyakarta are 86.7%, (5) the majority of craftsmen has another jobs as farmer worker are 76%, (6) the majority of experience's craftsmen less than 5 years work are 54.7%, (7) the majority of craftsmen get knowledge from experience in site are 97.3%. Whereas kendall 's test show that wage's satisfaction was fisrt rank factor that influence on craftsmen's productivity based on craftsmen's perception. Analysis of variance show that no significant differences between characteristics of craftsmen with craftsmen's productivity on significance level of 95%.
