Abstract

Increased participation of women in the business sector is a phenomenon that occurs in the whole world the past few decades. This is because women have the education, skills and high competence in a particular field. With capabilities, women the opportunity to gain success in their careers. Rowley (2013) in his research found clear evidence that work experience, training and development, male-dominated culture, mentoring, masculinity and pekerjaa-family conflict are some of the factors that influence women's career success. This study was conducted on women managers and manufacturing services company in Yogyakarta. Samples are 54 female managers and manufacturing services company in Yogyakarta. To examine the effect of work experience, training and development, culture of male dominance, mentoring, masculinity and pekerjaa-family conflict to a successful career women used regression analysis. The results of the research that has been conducted in mind that: 1) the cultural dominance of men has a negative and significant effect in reducing the work experience, while mentoring has a positive and significant effect in improving the work experience. 2) The dominance of male culture has a negative and significant effect in reducing the training and development and mentoring has a positive and significant effect in improving training and development. 3) predominance of male culture and work-family conflict has a negative and significant effect in reducing the career success. Work experience, training and development and mentoring does not have a significant impact on career success. Masculinity has a positive and significant effect in improving career success
