Abstract
This research discusses about legal protection for passengers, which in this case is the consumer who has purchased the ticket but got cancelled by PT. Metro Batavia due to bankruptcy. PT. Metro Batavia is bankrupt because they possess more debts than their total asset. Since then, PT. Metro Batavia has lost the right to manage their property because the management is taken over by curator. PT. Metro Batavia has an obligation to provide refund to the consumer, who has purchased the tickets because of the contract agreement between PT. Metro Batavia and their consumers. Consumer also has the right to receive the refund due to the ticket purchasing, however, the consumer needs to do debt verification in order to receive the refund. In this case, consumer has the latest ranking to receive the refund, thus it can be confirmed that the consumer will not get one hundred percent refund from their ticket purchasing. PT. Metro Batavia should be more responsible to the obligation based on the contract agreement with their consumers, thus it will not cause any loss / deficit to their consumers.
