Abstract
Among the great numbers of given profession, there are certain kinds of job that require its female or female workers to work overnight, for example behalf as waiter/ waitress in cafe. In practice, female or male workers that work overnight have to work professionally, i.e. following any given manners and regulations that are valid in these cafes such as working overnight. From aforementioned background, thus the researcher compiled legal writing/ mini-thesis entitled "Legal Protection to the Overnight Workers in Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta". The purposes of this research were: 1) to know and analyze the implementation of legal protection to the workers that work overnight in Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta; and 2) to gain data in order to compile legal writing as one of the requirement to gain master degree in law field in Law Faculty of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University. The type of this research was field research that was supported by literary research. The sources of data in this research comprised of 1) primary data, i.e. data that was gained directly from first legal sources or research object. In this research the primary data was gained through leaded independent interview with respondent and source persons, i.e. a method of data collection by submitting any questions that were compiled in the questionnaires as manual and it is possibly emerges any other questions relating to the legal problems understudied; 2) Secondary data, i.e. data that was gained indirectly from the objects understudied, i.e. literatures, research report, writings of expert, regulations concerning to the object understudied. Method of data collection in this research was conducted by field research, literary research and from legal sources. The location of this research was conducted in Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta, by the reason of Boshe VVIP Club requires its workers to work overnight, of which initially had been mutually agreed and determined by the workers. The population observed in this legal research were the male and female workers that work overnight in Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta. The respondents of this research were 5 (five) female workers, 5 (five) male workers that work overnight and marketing in Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta. Meanwhile the method used was inductive reasoning method, i.e. reasoning method that was initiated from specific matters and then drawn general conclusion. From the result of this legal research it is known that Boshe VVIP Club Yogyakarta has not yet give legal protection to its workers who work overnight
