Abstract

Economic developments in industry and national services that rapidly has resulted in a variety of types and variations of goods and services that can be consumed to meet the various needs of life. Along with these advances , the advertising business also increased. Advertising is one marketing strategy to bring the goods to be sold to consumers. The goal of all business activities is that the goods have been produced can be sold to consumers . To that consumers need to know what the products of a company. In other words , the ad serves as a source of information for consumers . But now many ads in the community is not in accordance with existing regulations. One of them is drug advertising. Consumers who do self medication relying on drug advertising as information about the drug to be consumed. There are many misleading drug ads in public. The number of misleading ads in the media can harm consumers . But in practice, there has been no enforcement of consumer protection rules. Through the study, authors wanted to know how the practice of enforcement of consumer protection laws against misleading drug advertising. The result of analysis is the practice of law enforcement against violations of drug advertising in society is still lacking. Supervision in the field of drug advertising is still lacking, and as long as there is no coordination between the authorities.
