Abstract

Sexual harassment become something common among the people nowadays. It could occured anywhere in any occasion in this world. At workplace, sexual harassment become a n important thing to faced and handle. Due to this condition, International Labour Organization has done a lot of attempt to handle it. ILO has made ILO Convention No. 190/2019 about Violence and Harassment at world of work. This convention is one of the important convention for labour field. This convention are made because of the condition of violence and harassment particulary sexual harassment that still occured in world of work. The problem that taken from this study is about how the effect and benefit of ILO Convention No. 190/2019 if ratified by Indonesian Government to resolve sexual harassment that occure in a workplace in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to find out and determine the benefit of ILO Convention No. 190/2019 ratification for resolve sexual harassment cases in workplace in Indonesia. This study uses normative legal research methods that particulary on ILO Convention No. 190/2019. Based on the purpose of this convention, Indonesia as a member of International Labour Organization (ILO)should to ratify this convention as an attempt to resolve the violence and harassment particulary sexual harassment in the world of work because of the condition in Indonesia that has not have any specific law about sexual harassment in work field.
