Abstract

Human resources is one of the most important assets owned by an organization that acts as a driver of the production process and functional management in decision-making and other interests. Human resources working in a company referred to as an employee whose performance is evaluated during a certain period and is associated with labor standards. The purpose of this research to analyze the effect of the performance appraisal on career advcancement with self-effiacay as moderating variables on employees at PT. Madubaru. Performance appraisal is a basis for decision making and provide feedback to the employees as a mode for performance improvement, self-development and career employees. Assessment of performance are identified and appropriately applied can help determine the purpose of training programs and diagnosing organizational problems. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to employees of PT. Madubaru with sample using proportionate stratified random sampling. Respondents were successfully captured by a number of 105, which consists of permanent and contract employees. Method of quantitative descriptive analysis and hierarchical regression analysis was used to test models of the relationships formed. The results shown that about 22.3% career advancement of employees affected by the organization performance assessment. Employee performance is influenced by the self-efficacy of employees but the performance appraisal is not moderated by self-efficacy for career advancement. The regression results are still low, required some contribution from management and direct supervisor to give support, training, responsibilities and career opportunities by providing more career paths for employees whose performance is increased and measurable.
