Abstract
NOVOTEL is a modem building intended to support the economic development of Tangerang district, where the hotel construction location is quite strategic, close to MALL BSD. Novotel is a hotel that has 18 floors in the building, of which there are 2 basement floors, 3 podium floors and 13 upper tower floors, so by using basement as for parking spot it needs to design the soldier pile to hold the soil lateral from the area, so that's why the purpose of this project is to determine the lateral soil of the project area and the maximum moment of soil so it can withstand the lateral of soil. This project involved the method of pile cantilever calculation and also using diagram lateral to make it easier to determine the horizontal shear, and lateral soil, dan moment maximum of soil.by using this calculation the lateral of soil is 208,01 kN and the maximum moment is 2365. 81 kN, then by this data the required pile diameter of 800mm, using 20D 18 main reinforcement at the distance of 107mm, D 14 stirrup reinforcement, with an effective pile length of 107mm. -17m, so based on the results of this design the soldier pile is safe for use in the Novotel BS hotel project
